We have used Trabold filters ourselves for many years. We are convinced and enthusiastic.

The inventor
Hermann Trabold, Reicholzheim
Hermann Trabold, born in 1939 in Reicholzheim near Wertheim, trained as a wholesale merchant. Alongside his job, he researched the properties of oil from the late 1950s.
In 1984 he tested well-known oil filters. In 1987 his own fine filters followed, and in 1990 Trabold Filter GmbH. In 2000 he told Main-Post he had driven his VW bus over 500,000 kilometres without changing a litre of oil.
At his side was Günter Bosien from Hamburg: friend, adviser and coordinator of the Hamburger Projektgemeinschaft Ölfeinstfilter.

- Late 1950sHermann Trabold began researching the properties of oil.

- 1992Überlandwerk Unterfranken used it to clean insulating oil for 110 kV switches.
- 1993TÜV test report and WEARCHECK lab report.
- 1994ALDI Helmstadt and the Pinneberg service buses came on board.
- 1994 to 1995Umweltbehörde Hamburg funded 200 filters with 150 DM each.
- 1997Telekom in Schwäbisch Hall began converting. By November 1998 it was 100 vehicles.
- 1998The municipality of Rosengarten fitted out its fire brigade and depot. A BR team around Franz Gernstl met Hermann Trabold.
- 1999NABU-Umwelttipp, Umweltpreis der Stiftung Kreissparkasse Calw, EXPO-Registrierung am 4. November.
- 2000Projekt der Weltausstellung EXPO 2000 in Hannover, Berichte im Hamburger Abendblatt und in der Main-Post, Schreiben der Stadt Wertheim.
- 2001ALDI bestätigte 5,6 Mio. km. Laut Hersteller 1. „Einfach Genial“-Preis des MDR.
- 2005The contractor Gebr. Schweizer converted all its machines.
- 2010Die Fachzeitschrift ACKER+plus berichtete über drei Landwirtschaftsbetriebe, darunter das Lohnunternehmen Schweizer.
- 2012ALDI meldete laut Partnerseite rund 15 Mio. km mit 21 Actros.
- 2017“25 years of TRABOLD high-performance filter” appeared on the manufacturer’s home page.
- Oktober 2026Das Lohnunternehmen Schweizer bestätigte am Telefon: seit über 20 Jahren kein Ölwechsel mehr, auch der Kraftstoff wird gefiltert.
